THE STORY BEHIND DoMa
DoMa is a family business run by Tea Malmegård and Viktor Lejon. They met in 2006 at the then 2-star Edsbacka Krog, where Tea was starting her very first internship and Viktor worked as a sous-chef. Over the years, they have worked separately and together at star- rated restaurants in Stockholm and New York, but it was a shared dream, born during the tough early years, of something a bit simpler that would one day become reality.
In 2014, DoMa opened as a supper club with a focus on brunch and dinner in their living room. Over the years, their ambition grew, and in February 2020, they opened the doors to their own restaurant, conveniently located in the same building. However, the timing proved to be less than ideal. With the help of takeaway bags, weekend packages, Easter boxes, Christmas gifts, a few rearrangements, fantastic staff, adjusted opening hours, and above all, the most loyal guests ever, the restaurant emerged from that time stronger than ever.
In the fall of 2021, Bar DoMa opened next door. A larger and livelier place, a more spacious venue, a new kitchen with its own menu, but above all, with even more focus on drinks.
DoMa is a long-term endeavor. We believe in sustainability in all aspects. We do our best to work with the very best suppliers, minimize waste, and maintain a sustainable work environment. We hope you will feel this when you visit us as a guest.
